I'm not either O/R but that's just another way for wgt to get more money...union dues ffs...wake up peeps...it's like paying something for nothing....which is the way it is here now...
Based on your scoring history, Johnnie, I see you are an active member in your CC. Just curious ... how many of those events that you've played have you won?
A handicap system levels the playing field so everyone in the CC can compete and win. It really has to suck to shoot your best score ever and come in 5th, or 10th with no chance of winning.
Add a handicap system and now that best score of yours just might put you in the lead, and not just middle of the pack.
In the CC I belong to, we have a handicap system. The issue that was presented was to come up with a universal handicap system, so CC vs CC events could be run on net scores, based on a player's handicap.
Sounds like a brilliant idea to me ... where you came up with "dues" has to put you on the "union rich" east coast.
It's more about solving a current problem faced by all CC's ... members like you that play a good game but don't have a chance at winning an event (unless you're the onlly one playing it) ... because there are members with more experience and better skills and/or better equipment.
But if you had a handicap, and it was applied to your score, you could just be in the running in every event if you play your best.
@Kelly ...
It looks like only 2 non-owners even care if the members of a CC can compete fairly with the other members, regardless of their tier or playing ability!
I know there are other CC Owners that handicap their members in some fashion. Handicapping should be the responsibility of WGT, since they are raking in all the cash. Like Admin2 said, this probably won't ever see the light of day.
