    CerinoDevoti:
I do understand that a player could think they've played themselves out of winning pretty early but not even finishing the first or second round is weak. Grab the 2000 credits(like they need them) and run off. Just weak. It's just 4 round scores that will be absorbed in 1000's of rounds like nothing. The ball usage excuse doesn't work here because WGT gave everyone qualified 2000 credits.

What do you think of the idea of WGT paying out 1000 credits to the players who qualify and then finish the first 2 rounds and the other 1000 credits if they finish all 4 rounds? Paying the 2000 credits up front for qualifying then having 20% not even finish 2 rounds was a waste of over 100,000 credits on WGT's part.

Also, wasn't there a general happiness about the VUSO finally being 4 rounds instead of just the 2 that's been done in the past? What happened?

The 2000 credits was reward for QUALIFYING, for all those balls wasted in trying to get a low score to qualify.

Its totally up to the player what they do with their rounds, if they have no chance in qualifying after scoring 64 and 65 in first 2 rounds i can understand them withdrawing.

Not that i have WD, but i don't condone it.  as for the 2000 credits, when i qualified for Olympic, my hat did not arrive, last year i got a $25 gift card which i could not spend so at least this year i actually got a prize asap for qualifying, so I've EARNED the 2000 for qualifying, the 4 rounds are a different story, i can do what i want, play the 4 rounds with starter clubs if i want, its UP TO ME and every one else what they do

And to all 3 of you aholes a few pages back, do you lot actually think i give a damn about my scores??  LOL, i couldn't really care if i scored 4 rounds of 52 or 4 rounds of 62, i wind all of you up like clockwork and you lot actually think I care about my game/this game/ scores etc etc.  Pull the other one it rings a nice bell

Well I have no ego to massage and just as well with a R2 67.

Poor start #1.  I slightly pulled my 6 foot high right putt, and on champ greens breaking fairly hard that's a miss:)

Mediocrity set until #4.  Wind in face no chance of green my 3rd was a reasonable full shot for 33 yards finishing 4 feet below and just left.  Here I claim my only real WTF.  Looked hard and breaking pretty obviously, and by a good bit.  Hit the putt which sailed through every frikin dot I could see moving fast, and finished less than 1 foot past.

Tee at the 7th and only level par thought lets force it.  Wind in face I forced it into the sand off the tee and sulked away with another bogey.

Couple of the dreaded .2 inches short later and a wrong meter selection at the 18th (ripping bogey from the jaws of an admittedly outside bird) and a disappointing 67.

Still no second goes and maybe 3rd or 4th rounds I will get a good one from somewhere:)

Ditto Jim - only, make that a 68 for R2 from moi.

No problems really till I took the putter out - my approach average for the 18 holes was 8.1 feet!

Couldn't hit a coo's ar$e with a banjo during the round. Nothing dropped whatsoever and really can't fathom why. Wouldn't say it was down to 'bottling it' either as suggested by an earlier poster.

Actually made bird on the last on a putt that I didn't even think had a chance.

Probably the most disappointment I've felt after any round in over 4 years of playing on here.

At least I had no problem sleeping afterwards.

Oh well - onwards & upwards, hopefully!

Cheers, from a battered and bruised Johnny.

    "NURSE!!!"

No effing way!  - I loved that pic (for those that missed it - it was a pic of a plate of cheese wedges on a thread where the OP was whining away)

My vote - nothing wrong there - btw - do you know who moved your cheese?

I think I've been looking at qualifying in the wrong way. I saw it as a tremendous accomplishment that should be respected by those that can't do it(like myself) and the players who can do it. If players that can do it can so flippantly throw away their accomplishment like it's just another Tourney, perhaps my own ideas of what a big deal it is should change. In the end I have no right to tell anyone else what to respect.

I never took anything of what you wrote as "telling" someone, but just you stating your opinion.

It is a bit odd though that some top players have WD'ed..we'd have to look at the all the qualifying players...not just the front page of the qual board..

I really think some may have shot themselves in the foot..this being a 4 round tourney.

I think some may have been on their way to mid 60 score, sorta stuck in the old way of thinking that they couldn't make up 10 strokes in one round...and pulled the plug.--just my opinion.

Awful putting led to a 64. Had an eagle putt on 5, putted off the green and made bogey. Missed a few other shorties

Not WGT that caused that... I simply did my best Mickelson impression
