    WGTdbloshoe:

Currently the plan is to get Pebble out before the VUSO next year.  They are working on it now and from what I have seen it looks amazing.  In terms of Oakmont, there is no exact plan set in place, but most likely some new pins. Not aware of any other courses that are planned.

Ah, is Pebble going to be a full 18 hole course??  Both par 3's, 4's & the 5's???  Just asking.  To say that here that there is 21 courses......... is a joke, IMHO.  I don;t count CTTH or best of par 3's in that realm.  If you say 21 courses, I want to play 9 on ANY course.  Kinda like false advertising if you ask me.  Just saying.

Nice to hear, but it was you who voiced the company's promise
    to have Pebble in February

    2015!

The blame is certainly not on you in person, but I won't believe WGT until I see it.

You are WGT, any hope is futile!

I thought he just said a bit ago that we would get Pebble Beach next year before the Virtual US Open.   Did I miss something.

he actually said   "before the VUSO next year"

which is very different from   "next year before the VUSO"

November this year is before the VUSO next year! So it does not rule out having the final major this year on the full course. Still hoping.........

Be rest assured WGTers, they do not do anything quickly! The burning question is, Why would they take so long to reveal new pin placements? If these new pin locations were photographed way back when, shame on WGT for keeping them in the vault for so long.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but is not the business plan of WGT to attract new customers, and retain those who have been here for years? I fail to see the benefit to anyone, if in fact there are properly photographed new pin locations for those courses released prior to 2012 (as an example). There is no need for me to go into the guesswork that they did with Kiawah. I have seen the new pins @ RSG, but that was in a CTTH RG, and there were no putting challenges there. Not sure if there have been any other CTTH's with new pin placements?

Again, this idea of new pin locations @ Oakmont, was mentioned by a WGT mod over 4 years ago. I will leave it at that.

My guess is that any company looking at an association with WGT has see what a pile of tripe it has become, no doubt they read the forums under a "secret" player and report back as to the state of the game.

I can imagine that is why they lost the R&A, TRU-GOLF deals. As for Pebble Beach  which was supposed to be with us before Christmas i'm sure we are being fed a load of lies to keep us clinging on to the last shreds.

    YES

    NO

I'd imagine they can no longer do any thing further with RSG (OR STA) as there is no longer a deal with the R&A.

Teaser : Whistling Straits CTTH is supposed to launch this month .... so sayeth WGT media ...

I can't find where they said it would be CTTH. All I found was this.

The Kiawah Island and Bethpage tournaments will be full-course tournaments, while the format for Whistling Straits will be announced in July.

So we could get lucky and have it full stroke play.

I found it on WGT media a couple months back ... apparently they changed the wording ....I'll be happy with whatever they give us.

Let's also note that neither a CTTH or full stroke version of Whistling Straits came out in July. Looks like the PGA partnership is dead too (after giving us 1 "course" - Valhalla CTTH).

When an' if we we ever get a new course, I only have one request for WGT, please make sure that your customers are able to complete a round once they start it, otherwise, you will have failed miserably again ( an' haven't you had enough embarrassments already ?)

Again, this idea of new pin locations @ Oakmont

I just played Oakmont in July, after 13 days, I think it was, of rain in the Pittsburgh area. The pin locations we have here are the ones I played there.

I might add, that the real course is much more difficult than we play here, esp. hole 1 and 2 with the pins in lower right green and upper left green respectively. Those greens are so steep that it isn't funny. Holes 9 and 18 are definitely no picnic either.

After a torturous 6 hours there and 18 holes later, I was glad that I was somewhat familiar with the greens due to WGT's attention to detail on pin locations and contour mapping.

To add other pins, that I believe the grounds crew or caddies told me didn't exist, would be a travesty to that magnificent, skill-challenging course.
