The disconnects are not the only thing wrong with Multi-player games although it is by far the worse... But the chat box has been playing up for a long while now and they still are sitting on their fanny's doing nothing about it !!!

I make all the MP tourney's for my club and it is a waste of time doing them at the moment..

I run Round Robin games that are designed for 16 players so there are 15 rounds and it is taking forever to complete them due to all the problems which WGT say are not their problem as it's the Members who are not looking after their computers properly....ha ha ha!!! What a joke...

Come on WGT for F'K's SAKES.  I am yet to play a multy player game lately without a disconect.  My last game we had to drop after 1 hole because of the 2 disconects and we all know that 3 will lose you credits.  After my tee shot i got a screen giving me XP POINTS as if game was over, then i got taken to leaderboard screen then i closed browser and reloaded and we were back on our 2nd shot.  WGT a solution.  get rid of all the POINTLESS $HIT you have added since 2013, and go back (system restore lol) to when game was at least PLAYABLE.  This is getting ridicilous.  And i even forgot about how dumb can you be to lose flagsticks on a golf course.  As i said, STIOP ADDING POINTLESS ADDITIONS, because EVEY SINGLE TIME WGT you try and add something you destroy or cause a bug somewhere else.  You're programmers are not up to the task.  SIMPLE, if you stop adding stuff (appart from new courses and equipment) maybe game would not get so buggy

Conspirocy theory.com: Or maybe players are right, it is a ploy to stop players playing multi player matches and wining credits therefore we will not be able to make any credits, thus losing all banked credits which means more spending on credits card.  But i would see many players quiting if thwey started losing ability to make credits.  The game quality at moment is rock bottom and it seems wgt's pre school programmers are unable to halt the major bugs which are appearing and all they can do is add "Its down the garden path" on a drive (yes i know its not said right) ALL PLAYERS would rather a smooth bug free game rather than any comentary.  WGT you're out of touch with what the players want.

    srellim234:

10 million registered players includes every player who ever signed up over the last 8 1/2 years. Many played a hole or two (or a round or two) and left. The vast majority of those 10 million have been inactive for years and many more sign up and leave daily.

How do you know this, where did you get those numbers? Sounds highly exaggerated , but even if it is 5million it is a lot....

WGT lives on the backs of new signups who do stick around for a while and on advertising revenue. They are not interested in retaining long-term customers; that would require effort along with actually engaging the customers with some honesty and integrity.

Well they for sure don't depend on people who have been here for over 8yrs, still a Master and haven't played 340 rounds including match play....those players don't offer any positive game info because they still haven't learned to play it yet,..I wonder why you seldom ever see ANY of the very best players on here whining about all this...occasionally 1 will complain about the multi-player disconnects because it is a real issue, but never about how poorly they are treated or how bad the programmers are, or etc etc...LOL

When the revenue stream slows management will simply move on to the next venture.

Dream on, they had over 3 million people download the new app in the 1st 3 months, and that was 4 months ago...the programmers that created the game, the same guys who made EA sports big, are also investors in this company, and they didn't invest well over 20 million on this game/idea on a whim, I'm sure they had a sound business plan...

The new courses play truer than the old ones do, the game is 100 x's better, but it is using more resources and taxes our pc's, that and the site being on overload is going to cause problems and someone said that new/more server show up when you run a trace route...yet even with all these problems, and all of this perceived disrespect , your still here, everyday, adding site hits so they can sell ads!!!!

Your gripe has grown old over the last 1 1/2 yrs...Get over it!! or better yet learn "How" to play and enjoy the site

I don't even read your posts anymore but it seems like you always chime in right after I post on these type of threads with some cute remark...

Key in a few random names and look at the player histories on the pages that come up. The bulk of them are inactive hacks.

If WGT were interested in long term customers they wouldn't blatantly lie to customers or ignore them the way they do.

As for being a Master and not playing much, personal financial restrictions forced me to rely on the "Earn Free Credits" path which provided plenty of revenue to WGT over the years. $25-30 a month in gifts to overseas members instead of playing but money in WGTs coffers nonetheless.

When revenue stream slows any smart investor moves his investment to another area. In this case they've moved the resources to the mobile platform seeing that as the area of growth and at the expense of the pc platform. When the mobile platform slows they'll move their money to the next thing that will return the best return on their investment at that time.
