you then presume to use a sign off "my nickle " without acknowleding the orginal source?
shame. MY nickle.
The original is 'my tuppence worth" and is a 19th century English phrase.
Why do you not acknowledge the original source?
My tuppence worth...
a tuppence is just that, 2 pence (pennys). converted to our form of monetary exchange it would equate to 2 cents worth. a much to common phrase, so i upped it to nickle, and just to confuse everyone i spelled it in the old english manner.
gett'in awful tired of being constantly corrected for my lack of precise english grammer.
already have one agent who tries to get me to not use the words i choose correctly,
i don't need any friggen help ! if i get to the point where i can not make myself clearly understood by those who read english, then i will either adjust the way i express myself or just quit making intelligent conversation altogether. my nickle.
