Faster greens than Champion in normal rounds

    I obviously don't know about everyone else, but I still don't understand your rationale or what you would actually be accomplishing by doing that. 

    I, along with everyone else, get that you're saying make them faster. What I don't get is why.

    Imagine default speed for Champion tier 14.0 with the way it is now.

    Personally, I'd like to see faster default speeds for the Champion tier. As it is there's a 14.5 in one of the weeklies once in a while but not very often.

    A now-departed director in our club set up a tournament with 40-speed greens. It was interesting, if you prefer carnival games to golf.

    but would it not  create more sandbaggers at tour legend tier

    i am not saying there is any but who would want to play on them

    super duper fast greens?

    champion tier needs some kind of distinction. default 14 greens would not be a terrible thing

    Why not also push the tee boxes back as well? That would give the champion tier some real distinction! :-)

    In other words, at some point, one stops with the tweaks of the game. That's where they stopped with green speeds. An argument that it would make the tier more distinctive just doesn't strike me as all that compelling of an argument.

    My personal feeling is that putting is already too important in the game.

    I feel that the clubs at the higher level combined with higher level balls make fairway to greens a bit too easy for too many players. It ends up with putting being the only skill that separates the players.

    I remember being nervous on the tee in this game, until i reached L48 and got "that" driver. I also remember looking at the greens to see where the safest place to aim was or where I would get a more make-able putt as in RL. With the clubs I now have it pays just to get as close as possible,(with a few exceptions).

    I understand why WGT have continued to make easier and more accurate clubs but it takes away from the sim when ball striking and course management are to a greater or lesser extent not rewarded.

    Just my 2p.
