US Open Qualifying Cut?

Top 156 players (plus ties) make the cut and continue on to the Championship round

Currently at 67....guess it will be around 60/61(16 players right now)

I was going to guess 59. Low wind, slower tournament greens, it could be very low.

I haven't played the qualifier yet, only the course in stroke play with medium winds and tournament speed green. I can't imagine the cut being lower than 63, 8 under but this course isn't as hard as Oakmont was last year.

We have way better equipment now than we did for Oakmont. For me Congressional has its own unique challenges.

Be warned!! They're setting you up for the conditions in the final round. It will be High wind and Championship greens, I'll bet anything, and nobody will have been able to practice that. It was the same way last year but the green speed was the Championship one for qualifying too. Not this year. Don't get comfortable. :-)

I haven't played the qualifier just the stroke play and the green speed is the same as normal. I thought the qualifier last year was fairly easy but the real tourney had tough conditions. In any event it is nice to have the course on the site, I'm going to try the qualifier tonight and see what happens.
