I understand that this is an "online" game but it is just absurd that you have to shoot a freaking 59 at Congressional to qualify....

I dont know how they can make this game more "realistic" but the fact someone is in the clubhouse with a 54 is just laughable if you ask me...

with that being said I have been trying like a mofo to quality! Cant seem to break 62

Just played Cabo...why are we being charged credits for this course ? The graphics are horrible, I thought WGT was all about high def looking courses ? I've seen better graphics on my old Atari than this course !! What the hell WGT !!! If you are gonna charge money or green fee's , at least have some standards and get some nice looking courses !! You won't see me paying to play on this junky course again and waisting credits. Just my 2 cents....take care.

because it is in conjunction with some other company that owns the rights...Personally I tried it once and it will be last time I pay for any of them.

Well, compare it to this: Imagine that the Ryder Cup captain instituted an open qualifying tournament to make the team. The course the Cup match would be played on would be open for 3 months. You could play as many rounds as you wanted, feel free to ditch a round after 2-3 holes if you don't get birdies and start over.  Low 10 scores make the squad. Say Rory McElroy or Bubba Watson played a course like that 50 times just gunning for the lowest possible 18 hole score.

You don't think everyone who made the team would be in the 50's?

    No i don't think so.

Not that it matters to me anyway.

Not good enough to compete in tourneys.

    gotstewart:

I'm in right now with a 59.  Had to play my butt off for that!  Do ya'll think that will hold?

59 will hold, but 60 is looking kinda iffy right now.

There are currently 67 players with scores of 58 or better, so 89 more players would need to score 58 or better to knock 59 out.

There are currently 124 players with scores of 59 or better, so 32 more players would need to score 59 or better to knock 60 out. With more than 2 weeks to go, there's a decent chance that will happen, even with most of the top players already in at 59 or better.

Looking at the numbers, it looks like 59 is safe and 60 is on the line.  Since the cut is 156 and ties it might hold especially with 32 slots still open before 60 gets edged out.  It seems that most people that have scored well are burned out on it a little and not playing right now, there might be a new assault on the cut line in another week.

It's unbelievable how there are so many low scores despite this being a difficult game. Amazing how great some of these players are.

My best score for this US Open qualifier was a 72 and I thought I probably shot my personal best round on WGT because of how long the course is. I used standard clubs and balls and was unable to reach most par 4's in 2 shots. Still managed a 72 with a super-accurate short game and some long par putts. Shot 3 under par on the front nine, 4 over on the back nine.
