Finally made it to the cut line this morning. I didn't give myself much hope simply because my putts were always sliding by or lipping out.  If I was making putts I was missing fairways. It's a great course with this low wind.. Might be unplayable with high wind and faster greens. Be nice WGT.

    59 is safe. C'mon 60.

i agree with ya mcdom....kinda ridiculous if you ask me....idk, ill keep tryin but i dam sure know theres something goin on with the people shootin that low.  just impossible

Naaa... This course can be had with the low winds and slow greens... I'm not very good, yet I shot a 61, and left several shots out on the course..

I've been playing WGT for awhile now, and although I play more for relaxing (RGs and CC tournies) I find the two Opens the exciting part of playing here.   I'm in with a 59, but i left 2-3 strokes out there.

I dont post much, but I'd love to see the qualifying look more realistic as it is in the real world:

Regional Qual: Top 500 qualify, unlimited play, 2-3 weeks of playing time

Sectional: Top 156 (from the 500 regional), make it a 2 round single play format; 1 week per round, carying conditions.

    US Open: 2 Rds.

I'd go a step further and add the Top 20 finishers from the previous US Open as automatic qualifiers.  (making a total of 176 - if everyone is still actively playing).

One of the best ideas related to qualifying that I have read.

Definitely like your ideas in qualifying for the opens.   Secondly, it brings the real world into focus.

The cuts now down to 59 for the US Open. Best start grinding some rounds if you're 60 or above to get to the safety of 59 as it's not going to go any lower than that mark.

59 is safe now. Only 4 and a bit days left and only 3 or 4 a day shooting sub 59. Where's my hat WGT? Hope it's not going to take as long as last year to get it

I've pretty much given the qualifiers a bum steer due to shot inconsistencies.

Like this approach onto the 1st a RSG....the same's been happening on Congressional a lot too.

I hit the following shot 150yrds with a bit backspin into a slight crosswind to a green up 2 ft and 153yrds to the pin....

Magically the ball flies 160 yrds....and this kinda crap happens way too much on these open qualifiers for my liking so I'm just gonna give them a miss.

I could care less about getting the hat or USGA membership for qualifying lol.

I'll just concentrate on the other courses where the shots seem to go where they're meant to go.
