    BrianSJMA:

I dont post much, but I'd love to see the qualifying look more realistic as it is in the real world:

Regional Qual: Top 500 qualify, unlimited play, 2-3 weeks of playing time

Sectional: Top 156 (from the 500 regional), make it a 2 round single play format; 1 week per round, carying conditions.

    US Open: 2 Rds.

I'd go a step further and add the Top 20 finishers from the previous US Open as automatic qualifiers.  (making a total of 176 - if everyone is still actively playing).

This a Fantastic Idea...Something for Wgt to think about for the future

    Well done

Finally shot a freaking 59 after posting about 4 rounds of 60. If it goes to 58 I just may quit this game.

tried playing this shabby fecked up meter of a course just now....birdied 1st 3 holes and $$^&*&%$^£%*^*RIUYE$%^&%&&*metered like a c*** on the 4th tee....but chipped out of 60-70 rough then again to within 3 inches of hole for par....all good huh? not so cause I got pumped on the 5th tee as well.

thinking it was gonna just be a nightmare from then on I bombed out at -3 on the 6th tee.

    Useless a$$hole meter

I don't see the point of wasting my precious time trying to qualify only to get shafted rotten by the meter at some critical drive or putt further down the 18 holes....because it was always going to happen.

A bernie madoff investment's steadier than the meter at congressional.

TBE...at least you have an excuse (meter)...lol...I was -9 after 11 holes last evening, got a game invite and declined saying "can't play -11 at CCC, going to tee off on 12"...proceeded to bogey the next 3 holes...think I wound up -7 or -8.

No meter issues, just an itchy finger ;)

It definitely gets frustrating. I was metered on #4 and took a bogey. But made up for it on #6 with an eagle. Then parred #9 for a 29 on the front. Didn't think I had a chance to shoot 30 on the back but got lucky. Was -12 going into 18 and quick triggered into the left rough. Layed up and stiffed one from 36 yrds for par.

I wasn't all that concerned if I made it or not since I know I have no chance to be even top 20 in the tourney. It was just pissing me off because I kept shooting 60.

    Good luck guys.

After a saga that makes Homer's Iliad feel like a cheap paperback, I finally shot a 59 tonight. I'm that sad I had kept my day free tomorrow purely with the intention of grueling out a score, thankfully I'm now spared.

Should have achieved it last night but dumped a ball into the lake on 18 on two occasions whilst in a par to qualify position. Tonight it all went to plan although my nerves are in tatters now.

Nice job, Tiffer. Amazing how a stupid online golf game can get you so riled up.

Thanks and well done also. Nice to qualify for this one, last year I never made either of the US or British Opens.

I admire your tenacity Tiffer!  I'm happy for you that it paid off.  Congratulations!
