  Criminality is always wrong, always. Heartfelt condolences to the wronged.

  Differing factions were involved.  Sinister plays a part in more than one of those, and that's a fair point too much so called news misses I think.

  I guess you could say OK read the broad sheets same as ever.  One side is using social media one line news the best these days though it seems to me......Using a criminal act to help further that is just as wrong as the act.

  Look at the arguments being exchanged here - short of a war of words, unfortunately, but none of these statements will change the mind of anybody.

  I'm not going to respond to gonfission's unfiltered stream of consciousness (or lack thereof), because I honestly don't know where to start. I have one remark though: If you think Obama was a not a good president - a opinion one can certainly hold - and base that opinion in all your glorious intellectualism on a blunder in an interview - you will be shocked to learn what the 43rd president has to offer in that regard.

  I'm honestly disgusted by this statement. This was an act of domestic terrorism as part of a goddamn nazi-rally, how far have you descended into political tribalism to blame the left/socialists/whatever you wanna call it for this? One must disagree with the tactics (not the motivations, imo) of Antifa and other groups in general, but they are not to blame here.

  Antifa are not to blame here for the direct causation......Their existence in the world is as unfortunate as any other hard nasty left or right extremist going.

  Leave aside what I thought of Obama and the whole sorry lib left attempt anywhere.  Some of it looks great on paper and yes people are searching for a way out of times that Marx might recognise...Left is never going to be right (I am old enough to remember the realities of such debacles being tried, and I am not sure even that compares to today's nasty left).......Really is politics though.Apologies

  As far as the demonstrative Uni-Yorker, the majority has kindly spoken, and found you lacking, on this one occasion. We're all fallible, from time to time.

  All references I made to individuals, are just that. Individuals, no longer part of the problem in a political arena. They are civilians. I never thought conscious talk about civilians could be construed into a political  platform.

  The spelling of both parties was fallacious, for that reason as well.

  Thanks to the others for the ability to see what is, simply for the sake of it.

  Alosso, I have no bones with you, never have. You are the "Carnac" of all things WGT.

  Carnac, was a character played by Johnny Carson, on the "Tonight Show". He knew the answers to the questions, before they were asked.

  If I, as traveled and learned as I have become, over conflicts, had the solution to peaceful presentation of thoughts & actions, I would gladly give my life to see it ushered in.

  If enough people think as you and others do, inevitably, after many a massacre, it will come to fruition. Right now in the U.S. we are going through a paradigm shift. The Millennials are very reminiscent of the 60's "Hippy" generation, only in the manner that they are a large group of like minded individuals, that actually want change from the dogma, of what we are leaving them.

  Conflict, is not their means to an end. If they would only get jobs...

  I was born and still stay in a quiet little town in Scotland . Black people are few and far between . Infact if one walks down a street it is still a head turner . We are not racist just never been exposed to most foreign people or religions except our own .

  Obviously having travelled extensively has opened my eyes .

  Our son is marrying next month into a carribean/black family .

  They are warm and inviting people but already the mum has given us stories about how she was treated as a child . Different entrance doors for eating , different buses to get around etc and her daughter was a speaker at a rally to celebrate the abolishion of slavery .

  Food for thought for me . We seem to be getting drawn into a world we are not to keen on .

  I appreciate your declaration. I was in doubt but I could not imagine an answer to that long post. Thus I didn't reply.

  Concerning Carnac, I'm deeply in doubt. I only read about the tensions and the possible build-up while I happened to read in the NYT of a study showing that non-violent behaviour is better in conflicts than violence, both in success and duration. This was when I remembered Gandhi and Dr. King.

  Also in the NYT, I read "How to make fun of ***", chuckling.
