So you're saying that the Titleist irons aren't any better than the starter clubs, for newbies?

Anything's better than the starter clubs although I would venture to guess that a restart using starter clubs would own a newbie buying those clubs.

And yes, I think it's a sucker's play for a newbie to think they could compete with those irons, especially in anything involving credits, like RGs and Challenge MPs. Even restarts would have a hard time because they'd be forced to learn a new style of gameplay with Med/High irons.

The trajectory of the irons do not become nearly as serious or important until you reach the Back tees, imho.  Yes, it makes a significant difference off the back tees but there are still holes you can't stop a ball on the green with the top end clubs.

For a reasonably skilled hack, amateur, pro starting out when you factor in the learning curve is much shorter than it use to be, these clubs will have a dramatic difference and a multi account player or restarter won't even necessarily be "buying" the clubs they may be funneling credits over from "friends" or another account.

Players with reasonable golf knowledge and shot making ability will be able to pay for these clubs and win all the credits they will need for future club upgrades by cleaning up in ready go's.  I see the lure and desire of WGT to introduce more options into the game but I also foresee even more frustrations because it isn't clear whether or how much can be done to stay on top of all the people trying to game the system.

I heartily disagree. There's already a proliferation of skilled players using better clubs in those RGs. Loft isn't all about clearing elevations, it's about shot control on the greens and Med/High clubs require a different plan.

I guess time will tell!  I wouldn't think that Titleist would enter into this game, without them getting a better edge on the competition .  Titleist, claims the title as no. 1 in golf,  they are gonna stay there, even in the fantasy world. Yes, it's a correct statement to say that it's all about money.  But if the people don't give them a great review, others won't buy. Therefore imo, your gonna see people fling thru the tiers, and winning more tourneys, using these clubs. Just my nickle, and again, time will tell.

While I tend to agree with you that they might encourage some re-starters or multi-accounters, I think it's easy to exaggerate how much of a difference they'll make or how good of clubs they really are.

Just glancing at them, it seems to me that they're about comparable to clubs around levels 30 to 40. So, yes, in the short term, they may provide some players an advantage. But it really doesn't take that long to reach Level 40.

At first glance, I thought they were better than what they are, but the irons are worse than the L59 Pings. They have the same stats as the L32 TM Rsi irons except for a slightly slower meter speed and a much higher cost. Not much to see here as far as I'm concerned.

    That is sooooo wrong!

Those will always go to the multi's, regardless of what clubs they put out....LOL

One of the most useless expenditures on this site is using low level clubs with low stats and $5-$7 balls, they hurt you a lot more than they help you...been there, done that!

But it is useless to tell people that....they just don't get it.

If it were so wrong #fatdan then lower tier players would struggle to level up and yet they do... if it were so wrong, the top players would struggle to shoot the low scores they are shooting so easily during the SOTW tournaments...

Trajectory does help, it does make a difference but from the forward tees with a 269y driver you are going to find yourself with wedges and short irons into a lot of greens...not all greens but most of them and the one's you don't you can play strategically.

If trajectory was everything then you wouldn't see such low scores in the SOTW tournaments, but you do!

Also, I have never advocated spending tons of credits on high dollar balls but normally you don't need a top end ball during the SOTW tournaments.  So, there is no reason to believe or assume others would have to use a top end ball either.

WGT does, they just came out with a Titleist available at level 0...

As far as the rest of your post goes,

    I see! OK...

You might want to keep all that to yourself so newbies don't take it as gospel....

Sotw tourney's have much higher scores than do normal RG's.  You can be 2 or 3 under and earn credits.  That would be a WD normally.

The winning score in the last one was -5.  Quite a bit higher than a 27/8 which is what you'd see in use your own club RG's.

I can say with absolute 100% certainty that the ball isn't stopping using SOTW clubs like it does normally.
