I'll try to qualify, my earlier post,  clearly most people believe that Titleist is the no. 1 name in golf,  and alot of the Tour pros use their clubs.  If you believe their commercials,  something like 90 some % of them use the pro v ball. Some newbie starts playing on here, sees the titleists are available to them, right away , don't you think that they are going to jump on them, if they can afford it?  ( keeping in mind what they see on tv, and so they will believe it) Remember, they have absolutely no idea what the stats mean, they will buy, what they think is the best clubs, and ball, and that they will play well. They may not figure out what trajectory is, til way down the road.  Imo, that's why wgt, put them available at level 0. Get their money before they figure it out. Also, don't believe that the stats on the new clubs are any better or worse, than other clubs available.  Thereally are many new balls on here, that are just support to be the old nike, with a new name.  They are not!!!!! TM 95, plays more like the nike 90s.

I get it, but I fail to see the point or perhaps why you're attempting to make it.

The old adage that business X is greedy and just wants to make money might be the most overuse ridiculous argument that anyone could make on the Internet.  Not saying that's what you're doing but plenty are.

OF COURSE THAT'S WHAT THEY ARE DOING.

If selling more stuff makes them more doh, isn't that good for us?  i.e. Those same us who want to continue to play this game.

That wasn't my point at all, my point was that the better equipment very early, level 0, will change the playing field to the extreme, for the newbie.  There would be no reason for them to try to level up, for the better items. The possibility of the stats being better, may enhance people to start new accounts, or multi accounts.  As for the higher tiers, I would possibly buy titleist clubs, if they were rated better than what I have now. (Seems they dont care about those that are above level 100. ) If wgt can make money, great, maybe they could spend a little, and fix the many glitches that we have encountered .

Gotcha.  I look at it this way.

For players < Champion If someone wishes to restart to use better clubs earlier I can see how they might be perturbed by that.  BUT, those players then have that same option to use those same clubs.  Then it simply becomes a game of skill.  You either got it or you don't.

For players at Champion already it doesn't matter at all.  Or perhaps better to say shouldn't.  Once they get there they'll be right where they left off so...what's the difference.

I suppose what I'm saying is that now that I'm at the highest level, restarts don't bother me at all.  They aren't gleaming credits any more or less from players in this tier that's for sure.

It's possible, but I think the cost and quality of the Titleist clubs make the "newbie" game unlikely to change much. As an example, the irons cost much more than the L32 TM irons but are almost exactly the same. It's less than 13,000 XP to L32. I imagine the people that have multiple accounts or want to start over can wait the little bit of time it takes to save something like 20,000 credits. I originally thought similar to what you do, but after comparing the gear, I don't think it'll change much.

What do the stats on clubs really mean? I stated in another thread, that the Taylor made balls, we're supposed to be the old nikes, just with a name change.  Many of us, agree, this isn't so, with that being said, could the new irons be somewhat better than their stats say?  ( I'm going to rent the titleists,  to compare them.  If they are better, then watch out for the multis, as well as the newbies, espically with the juiced up apparel program. If the newbies, have any kind of golfing sense, they will move along very fast.  I can't believe that Titleist would allow their product to be just average. Being the no. 1 name in golf, they would want to be no. 1 in virtual golf too. ?

That wouldn't make sense. Titleist is the new Nike and TMs are downgraded Nikes.

This just won't happen and I'm sure you'll see why when you rent them. How seriously have you ever tried to score consistently with Med/High irons? Did you ever have them for an extended period? I did and made it all the way to Legend with them. It was driver/wedge golf (carried 4 wedges because of that.) That's when reality caught up and my stubborn insistence in proving you could compete from the back tees smacked me right upside the head-you can't. You'll see.

Who said anything about black tees? We were talking about lower level tiers!  Wake up and keep up here, why would anyone start over to get to the back tees faster?  I was talking about those that play in credit tourneys, so they could clean up in them.  Yes I too played those type irons, and moved up quickly, I still have them, that's what I'm going to use, to compare the titleists with.  Apples to apples, so it's a fair test.  The Titleist balls were to be better than the nikes, justifies the higher cost!

Even others decide to restart to get ahead of the game with those Clubs. It won’t take long for them to tier up, if they  keep winning tourney credits. Once that happens, they’ll meet the players with more experience, and those Clubs won’t be as good.

Those are the tees you have to play from. If you want to rent them and set up practice rounds from little tees  to make yourself right, go ahead. It won't be apples to apples though because VEM isn't in play in practice rounds so whatever you learn will be tainted. Besides that,  this game is driver/wedge golf until you get to the Legend tier anyway  so irons don't amount to a hill of beans until you get there.

You seem to worry a lot about lower tier credits. Curious. They were a problem before the Titleists and won't be any different now. It's been proven many times over. Slick's comment illustrates another reason why it's a non-issue.
