I'd agree, well a little, BPB 15 is a good par or possible birdie if your close enough. Trick with the elevated greens is +1yard for every 3ft up. Then take into count backspin and wind. Go for left of flag and the ball, hopefully lol, goes towards the flag. Now using L79 Burners but could do it with G10's.

I always find the par3 8th on St. A's trickyy with the front pin. Either land in that horrible bunker or shoot way too long.

"On Oak 9, I have no idea how to give myself even a chance at birdie, short of chipping it in from the bunker"

Exactly Cleworthy, completely agree.  In fact, I always just go for the bunker closest to the pin and go for the up and down which I have learned to do 80-90% of the time.  And I've only seen one player land their 2nd shot within 20 feet on the green by going Over those bunkers because they had a great drive and got lucky.

I do the same for #2 OAK as well because a 7 or 8 yard up and down is guaranteed there rather than those who like to play it safe and aim Only for the open green entrance area but that can end up being a 38 to 58 foot putt more often than not.  That's why I'd like to find a Partner that is skilled with simple up and down bunker shots which ensures a par for sure and possibly a birdie; rather than risking a 3-putt for bogey and almost zero chance for a birdie putt.  Also because you don't have time to explain Partner strategy with a 45-second clock. :)  So it's wise to somehow meet and greet a partner who thinks the same way so you're always playing your strong suits as a proper Team instead of playing like a Singles player and just hoping one partner can always clean up the other partner's blunders. :)

Hi BBBUCKSHOT, is it because you're always going for the green opening and being left with 65-foot putts or some other reason?  Or do you play BP15 far more often than OAK 9 and are therefore more skilled with BP15?

Well familiar with your frustration on #17, Mes but I finally learned the secret to parring it most of the time now and even getting several birdies there.  You simply always keep your Aimer to the right of the bunker mound and play "that" yardage because the ball will Always go right to left toward the pin anyway once it hits the green.  If you hadn't thought of that yet, that is?  So, once youhave your weight down, you'll be parring 17 much more often.  Hope that helps? :)

"Sta 17 with crazy winds gets my vote also"

Hey RUNWME, are you and SgtDoodles and TarheelsRule referring to the Legend STA 17 or lower level?

We're not talking about the lady tees, when you make Legend you will understand.

Its a Birdie/Par hole from tm and closer tees. From the legend tees its an entirely different animal.  There are times when have such a head wind, that your making your  3yrd shot 35yrds from Pin even after a good drive in fairway and 3w second shot.

Not complaining, actually I  like the challenging 17th  hole better from the legend because your pulses races much more then you have to stick an approach shot close to save par then when you're hitting it up for birdie.

Its like 18th congressional. Playing a 4way stroke match and we have 1 tourmaster hits his approach from 205yrds and stiffsthe pin for birdie. 3 legends have approach shots from 260yrds into headwind and none of us can even sniff the green in 2.

I'm certain I have made several birdies on both of these holes. Not close to the list IMO.
