I was thinking of offering a 100k credit reward if someone could hack WGT's system and crash it

    rofl

    now I'm interested.

    I love challenges.

make it $200K and we have an accord.

    On another note Jake..................................

Just as a test, can you get a hold of an Intel Proc run laptop or pc and try playing WGT to see if that makes any difference...I say it will...but that's just me..I'm no lover of AMD's

    • Meter stable enough to shoot 26 one round then the very next I might have 10 spikes or freezes per side.

any chance you could put a video of this, both good and bad.

Not worried about credits however do have alot of experience with pc's

Don't know if you have looked into your msconfig or watched your processes while playing to see if anything spikes at anytime that is where I think I would start.  Don't know if you share a connection with other users or how your network is setup those are other possible factors.

    For Windows 7 OS:

Click the start button > type msconfig > click it to open > click General > choose selective start-up.

Click boot and make sure there is only one operating system selected.

Click services > uncheck parental controls only.

Click start-up > uncheck all unnecessary start-up programs. Click close.

Click the Start button > click Control Panel > click Programs > click Turn Windows features on or off. Wait for the list to compile. Below is a list of wasted features that can potentially interrupt flash. Uncheck:

    Games

    Indexing service

    Internet information services

Internet information services hostable web core

    Microsoft message queue (MSMQ) server

    Rip listener

    Simple network management protocol

    Simple TCPIP services

    Telenet client

    Telenet server

    TFTP client

    Windows gadget platform

    Windows process activation service

    Windows TFII IFilter

    XPS services - Click close.

Next, delete all preloaded software completely off your machine. These programs work in the back-ground continuously.

Change your anti-virus program to one that will silently work in the back-ground. This is a good alternative.

Keep the Adobe website manager clear before any game-play per WGTniv.

Create a game-client desktop shortcut assuring no other windows are open during game-play.

Use this totally free Windows 7 utility.

This is exactly how I have my windows 7 computer configured and I do not have one meter stutter whatsoever. Along with this configuration, I wait for flash in the game-client to finish working before I take a swing.

P.S. This is not an attempt to get free credits. I'm merely sharing my configuration in hopes that it may work for you too. I have a similar AMD machine.

    2. Tie a double knot in your right shoe
    3. Turn your hat backwards
    4. Put a golf tee behind your right ear
    5. Shift your Dickey to the left side

That's it Lou, Jake's meter should smooth-out instantly. That configuration should be worth the full Monty. LOL : )

It took me over six months of trial and error to finally get the configuration that resulted in zero meter stutters or problems with the games physics.

In all actuality, it should take no more then 15 minutes to perform the above tasks (above Lou's tasks). Its worth a shot with nothing to lose, and no more meter problems to gain.

This is what many of us don't understand....i/e which programs are not needed, or needed.

    Hi MB,

Uncheck everything I have listed in my post, the Windows features is a short list. You can always make a list of the things you uncheck as well.
