Best of Hardest course ??????

  The one thing that struck me was the length. I just love how you hit so many long irons :)

  Are you saying it to me or someone else?

  I mean I love how a player hits so many long irons on the new course. Not saying it to anyone ;)

  For those who do not know Oakmont CC course is not included in the "best of famous shots" or "best of hardest shots" because oakmont belongs to the USGA, and still is not controlled by WGT . Congressional yes, from the time they played the Virtual U.S. Open here. Good luck with those "famous shot" and "water shots" will make sure waste a lot of time ... balls ... credits, ultimately money.

  For those who do not know Oakmont CC course is not included in the "best of famous shots" or "best of hardest shots" because oakmont belongs to the USGA, and still is not controlled by WGT . Congressional yes, from the time they played the Virtual U.S. Open here.   First no course is controlled by WGT. And every course that has ever hosted a U.S. Open is a member of the U.S.G.A as a course but the U.S.G.A. does not own any of them. It is more of the owners and membership of Oakmont controlling how their course is used and not allowing it to be part of a compilation course.

  I think kiawah #2 was playing over 5.7. across all tiers. I don't have the data handy anymore, but yes, from legends POV, whole holes many easier than others not included, but if you look at all tiers, it becomes much clearer.

  So nobody gets the $100 worth of credits (I believe) for coming up with this idea? But WGT get an idea from the members anyway, gotta love WGT.

  Im not making an issue out of this Icon, but the original post about ideas for "Best Of courses" offered $100 worth of credits to whoever came up with ideas for the said choice. Having looked back over the news feeds here, i cant seem to find it now. But i have found it on our club website from when i posted about this.

  Oh I didn't take it as such, I just never seen such offer. I am not sure to be honest, but many of us for years been wanting such, such as all par 3 course, all putting cttp, mash-up's of available courses etc.

  This course was created before the addition of Olympic club correct? Time to rethink the course.
