  I'm having a blast with this course, just awesome difficult. Well, must admit I can not get under 60....yet :/ ops.

  shot a 63, missed two easy birdies and had 1 bogey. I will have to admit, I had not played the back 9. That first par 5 you have to be bubba watston to even think about anything other than a birdie on that sucker. It may be me but the back 9 is not as hard on the nerves as the front.

  Finally got to play the front nine. Really fun course. I hit 8 of 9 greens and stuck 6 inside 10 feet. My putting was just pathetic as my -1 score.

  Birdies are hard to come by on the front 9 - but you do have a starting two stroke advantage over the back 9! I think 30-31 is regularly doable; going really low is going to take a lot of practice. Much like Oakmont, proximity to the hole is less important than getting a makable putt! The back 9 is far less intimidating and there are more birdie opportunities, and one eagle opportunity. It may prove easier to go low on the back 9 even with the 2 extra strokes. Oh, and number 5 can ruin your round!

  When I saw that hole I thought the same thing, my 3rd shot missed the hole by less than a foot for an easy bird.

  me too, those greens don't seem quite right yet, but I did manage to shoot a 32.

  Memo to aggressive players...lol.  Be careful by not over drawing your second shot on the mammoth par 5 on #16 or you could be in the trees like I was and take a quadruple. smh. I did come back with an eagle on 17 though. : ) There was absolutely no reason really to get cute on 16 seeing how you can't get there in two.

  Well, was able to post a 29; should have been a 28, including one bogey (#5, what else) - the short par 4 that is drivable - putt from behind the pin stopped short even though I gave it about 4 extra feet from only 9 feet. Hit that sucker hard!!

  woooo hooooo just shot a 31 on the back 9, just another -0.15 till TM.
