    WGTpizza:

Just as oneeyedjohn said: "no two shots are the same".

We try to make the game as realistic as possible, and that means that physics must come in to play, and that means we have to try to emulate real life physics the best we can.

You are in control of your game, no one else. You may have bad shots some times, or shots won't play out the way you planned them, for varying reasons, but isn't that how real golf plays out?

This is what i'm getting at when i say its my turn to loose hole then because if my opponents ball hit from same place, same putter, aims for left side of cup and the ball curls nicely into hole, my ball hit on same line went STRAIGHT and landed left side.  I get that no 2 shots are so called the same, so basically i got deviation on mine which made it DEVIATE and not get effected by the break shown, so no matter what i did i wouldn't have a chance to hole shot.  I can guarantee you if i had aimed directly at cup, ball would have swerved right.

In real golf if you saw opponents ball curl into hole from left side, common sense says that your ball if hit on same line and speed SHOULD ALSO curl into hole, but as was mentioned "no 2 shots are the same" even taking the exact same line here and expecting a curl, there's a possibility you dont get the curl due to DEVIATION or whatever, so although you MIGHT think you've done all you can there's a chance "shots dont play out the way intended" making it in a way "your turn to loose hole". LOL

Not on every shot, how many times have you struck say your 100 yard wedge in 17 mph tailwind only for it to go 100 yards.  There's skill involved, but there's also luck if you actually do get the shot intended.

    BolloxInBruges:

If you apply 2 layers of tin-foil to ones head rather than simply 1 layer it with thwart off all deviations, time to upgrade chris.

Ahhhhhh, the good old sarcastic comment as usual, go and score a 48 will you

As you can see, i'm all ready protected, so leave me alone...................

I'm saying this because my opponent and I had balls in close proximity on the green, his turned with the break into hole, whilst break on mine had no effect and ball went wide.  Why would this happen unless it was my turn to loose hole?

If you need some tips/advice, there are many players here who have given advice on past threads, and there may even be some that can help you while you play with them. Make some friends and ask for help, you'll be amazed at what you learn :)

I know that the advice was well meant but in the circumstances that is very funny......especially if you have read alot of CIB's past posts.......LOL

Welcome WGTpizza...look forward to your imput on the forums.

    Chris,

There's no way to know if your opponent aimed more and hit early didn't aim at all and plays off ding.

The above 3 ways (as I am sure you know) will make a putt react differently vs aiming and dinging.

Factor in power used and of course things will vary more.

Nobody has mentioned V.E.M. yet.  It wields its nefarious tricks on the greens, too.

When you find one, please let me know the price too. I think YancyCan might be selling them at his Country Club :P

This is what I was hinting at. There's no way to know if the other player actually played the putt exactly the same way. Missing the ding can impart sidespin on the ball so it breaks differently. If the other player hit first, it's possible he hid how to play the putt by miss dinging it with sidespin to fool his opponent. Perhaps it worked?    ;-)

Think about this section I've quoted - what if that situation happened on a real golf course? Would you think it was "your turn to lose"?

    Stay Classy,

    -WGTpizza

Once again this is NOT REAL LIFE it is a man made game ,that has a program that states if this does this then this will happen. Call it what you will, but it is a bug in the program. It is just like when you are on the approach shot and you have a 10MPH cross wind , you allow plenty when you aim , but yet the ball seems to land 10-12 yards on the opposite side of the flag. Go figure  If that is the case about being realistic then why give a hole distance on the approach shot, why show moving dots that indicate the break in the green , and why give a distance to the hole on a putt. Why give the wind speed . Just to name a few

So this will put an end to the people accusing MisterWGT of randomly picking players and trying to ruin their game-play by pushing a button when they take a shot? LOL!!!

I'm sure you've read the actual posts.
