Find a good (CC) country club to join, been a member of a great one for a couple of months, now apart from the odd connection blip, l've not had a single multiplayer game that l've not completed because their all members too!!

    67soggy:

i have been on for around 2hrs and have not completed one game due to quittersprotecting their precious score average.

can you introduce a system to add one full point to score avg . 3 points and then  5 in the same day  for repeat offenders to weed out the quitters

WINNERS NEVER QUIT & QUITTERS NEVER WIN

this is for the quitters out there .. YOU ARE ONLY CHEATING YOURSELF

    BUT ROBBING PEOPLE OF PLEASURE

    thanks 67soggy

What's everyone's opinion on alternate shot games?  The thing that I always disliked was that you pair up with someone and then that person disconnects 3 times or forfeits and you lose as well.  How is that fair?  I'm a decent players not great but have lost to many ALT shot matches to players simply disconnecting or forfeiting.

It doesn't seem right to me that the other team member should be penalized as well.

If you choose to be part of a team and as a team you are unable to finish the competition, every member of the team loses. Win as a team; lose as a team. It's like that in all sports.

If you're not prepared to suffer the consequences of the actions of your teammate, don't enter team competition and stick to individual competitions.

I quit once because my daughter called in and needed picking up quickly.  I quickly explained to all, exited at my turn and all good - easy stuff!

You did the right thing up to a point.  But don't quit on your turn. That freezes the game for everyone. Quit when it is not your turn and the game continues.

I would like to disagree with this.  As far as teams go, any member of a team in any sport, that is not preforming or lacking in performance, would be penalized.  They would be benched or let go from the team. Not the entire team.  I think there are ways that WGT could change this.

I plan to put my thoughts in a post on the Product Suggestion page.

ok if its not win as team and lose as team in YOUR eyes than lets just say that you played your worst round of your life BUT your partner plays so well you guys still win. Do you feel you should get the victory? Yes you should because as in ANY team game its WIN AND LOSE AS A TEAM. No suggestions needed on the product suggestions page .

My thoughts are that players shouldn't be penalized for a loss in ALT Shot or Match Play simply because another player(s) disconnects or simply closes out their browser.  It's not fair at all to anyone.

What I'm talking about has absolutely nothing to do how well anyone preforms in the game jeffc46221.

Final- Teams who no longer have enough players on the playing field in most sports lose the competition. Playing tennis doubles? It doesn't matter whether your teammate quit or was ejected. It's a forfeit and you both lose if you're both not on the court for the full match. It's the same in almost every sport and certainly in ALT shot competitions.

In real-life golf the situation is covered by Rule 29.

    ". Match Play

If a player plays when his partner should have played, his side loses the hole.

    . Stroke Play

If the partners make a stroke or strokes in incorrect order, such stroke orstrokes are canceled and the side incurs a penalty of two strokes. The sidemust correct the error by playing a ball in correct order as nearly as possible at the spot from which it first played in incorrect order (see Rule 20-5). If theside makes a stroke on the next teeing ground without first correcting the error or, in the case of the last hole of the round, leaves the putting greenwithout declaring its intention to correct the error, the side is disqualified."

If your partner leaves for any reason you obviously are unable to complete play making strokes in the correct order. Your side is disqualified.

Has nobody noticed that the game filter dosen't allow you to weed out players with bad completion when selecting who to play with?

WGT is never gonna punish quitters. These people pay money to the game and its bad for buisness if they quit playing.

I understand what you are saying srellim234,  and rarely does that ever happen in real life.  Disqualification yes but players up leaving a game.  That doesn't happen often.  Just like all sports have different rules we are talking about and online golf game here.  Where you are playing against anyone, anywhere.  You have know idea what kind of person they are, if they have disconnect problems, if they have a tendency to bail on games.

This isn't something that happens here and there, it happens all time, every hour of everyday, multiple times a day.  Good players in good faith should not be penalize and there are ways to work around it.  This is online golf, you simply can't close out a browser on a real golf course or have connection issues.  It's not the same, therefore should have rules adapted to it.

What are players suppose to do, ask the guy/girl.  "Hey do you have a good connection? Do you jump out of games a lot"

Then on top of these players simply don't log into their account and make up a new one and start new stats and scores.  While the good players take the brunt of it.
