    borntobesting:

    chris5214:

lack of spin ? we must've played with different Bladez then .. they stop exactly the same as Burners .. had no problems with distances either .. tailwind 3i still obviously needs a little allowance for roll out .. i've found them no different than the Burners ..

haven't played the R11's yet, obviously .. next on my list .. no doubt they'll be better, since they are obviously the top irons on WGT .. but the Bladez, like the Burners, are good none the less ..

Is there any difference is trajectory? I thought that just possibly they had made the trajectory slightly higher. After all one of the things that Taylor Made stresses on their web site is that The Rocket Bladez have a higher trajectory that other irons.

not sure yet .. but i can tellya that the trajectory is AT LEAST just as high as the Burners .. but i've found the stopping power and the way wind affects them to be same compared to the Burners .. if the trajectory was higher they would stop even better than the Burners, possibly better even than the R11's, and also be more wind affected .. so far i haven't found that .. simply Burners with a slower meter .. gotta play with 'em a bit more though obviously ..

thus far, from one practice round & one ranked round i've found them identical to the Burners, except for the slightly slower meter ..

I have tried to tell myself that I am going to hang on till 90 for the r11s, but as in previous situations requiring any will power whatsoever I will FAIL epically and buy these clubs within the next, ... ooooh half an hour.

Before I click "purchase" can we definitely confirm that these have a noticeably slower meter than the burners, if you look at the graphic on the bladez meter speed the needle is set to twelve, but the blue swish still goes to one o'clock, If I drop two and a half thousand cred on basically buying a second set of burners, I will be understandably distraught lol.

So, to those who have played both burners and bladez, they do go slower dont they?...

Meter is alot slower and my first round with them i shot a 54 with a bogey on 18. Would not had mattered because i still lost to a 50. But still good clubs in my book.

Well I bought them (obviously), and I too can confirm that they play exactly as the burners did but with the same meter speed as my beloved CG wedges..

They seem to be producing a few more very close shots (due to the higher ding ratio,or just slightly off ding), but there's been a few inexplicable short ones too (maybe the latest WGT update doing its thang, or me being dumb.. who knows)

Early verdict... Better than the burners..

Thank you Taylor Made and WGT, these are the irons I have been waiting / praying for.  Ahh the joys of matching meters and cheap balls again.

Had a feeling they wouldn't compete with the r11's. You have a boatload of legends + that would jump on a new set of irons at a drop of a dime just to buy something new. The feeling of getting something new is a good one. Those are you long standing, committed golfers that probably have bank. Would have made more money going that route than burner 3.0.

I can sympathize with the higher level players out there who were hoping for a better performing set of irons than the R11's. About 8 months back I bought the real R11 irons and had them fitted to my swing. They are brilliant! Perhaps a little too advanced for my handicap, as I have found out when not hitting them true and proper from time to time, but regardless, they are the best irons I have played with by a country mile.

Two days ago I was at the Pro Shop looking for a few miscellaneous products and saw they were selling the new Rocketbladez, which I asked if I could swing in the nets for a bit. They have a very soft feel to them, and a slightly bigger cavity back, which is probably supremely suited for my handicap as opposed to the R11's. I have also swung the Rocketballz around after my brother-in-law bought them upon their release. My opinion...You have the RBZ then the Burners, Rocketbladez after that and then of course the R11's.

Taylormade have another set of high end irons available which I haven't tried yet, called the Tour Preferred MC forged irons. These would probably be the only set from this brand that might be a little better than the R11's, however put this into stat form like we have on this game, and you will probably be buying a half a dot more of something as compared to the R11's.

I guess the only thing better than all that... Arguably, would be the new Ping Anser clubs, which perhaps WGT will bring out sometime. The Titleist MB forged clubs would also be put in that same bracket.

But I think they have it spot on with how they positioned the Bladez within the product range, being slightly inferior to the R11's. The fact I have actually played with most of these clubs, for me at least, it makes it more real which is what WGT always say they strive to achieve.

Now someone convince Pizza to talk to Chad about those Ping Anser clubs! ;)

Love the lvl 90 R11 set but I think I will give  these a go at some point. As it's been said before having the same swing meter thru driver to wedges is a major plus point.

@chris5214 or anyone else who's tried these, could you tell me what the yardage gaps of these irons are.

    Many thanks
