    Looks like being another close one...get "in" & runs should come...gonna be no rain saviour,not sure if england got enuff but we shall see

    How wrong was i lol, a record run chase needed by the aussies...possible but very unlikely, turned into a tame looking wicket

    It's a disgraceful performance by the Aussies I think.

    I'm enjoying our time is the sun, I well remember when the boot was on the other foot. Indeed I think I've invented several new cuss words especially for Shane Warne! (Brilliant cricketer though).

    can someone even explain the attraction in test cricket or even just cricket :)

    To fully understand test cricket you must study hard for a very long time. The long study process has to involve long periods of sustained alcohol consumption, while talking semi-intelligently to those around you, at no time is abuse permitted, or when some really challenging moments happen then the abuse must be witty and without vulgarity.

    Once the study period is finished (10 - 15years) you may progress to becoming a spectator, this involves drinking beer continually from 11:00 until at least 18:00 and then usually continuing in a nearby purveyor of alcoholic beverages.

    At this stage test cricket makes perfect sense.

    The one day game is a similar idea for alcoholic lightweights.

    P.S. Fred Truman was brilliant and his abilities with the ball were only matched by his abilities with the pint glass, such were his alcoholic exploits he was exempted the no cussing rule.

    Story:

    Fred Truman as a young man playing village green cricket. The batsman was the local Squire's son:

    Fred bowls and appeals for lbw, not out;

    Bowls again, appeals for caught and bowled, not out;

    Third time he cartwheels middle stump over the wicket keeper.  He turns to the Umpire "nearly efin got him that time".

    Paraphrased a little before any cricket aficionado rips me.

    A day at Lord's with beer, wine or port being passed around and a good block of stilton, watching the great game - life is good:)

    Australia's best day of the series so far on the first day of the 3rd test. Great innings from Clarke and he was well supported by Rogers and Smith. I'm not sure how Khawaja could have been given out, a decision which seemed to upset Kevin Rudd a little, when there was no evidence of contact with the ball, but on the other hand Smith got away with one later in the day.

    Australia will be looking for 500+ so they can put some pressure on the English batsmen in a test match they must win to keep the series alive.

    Bresnan given out ...joke?? Jimmy Anderson performing on a tailor made home pitch( not really, he probably has,nt bowled at old trafford this year)

    We really have missed the boat, 2 up & we let them in, 2 cocky & 2 predictable

    When will "showboat" Pieterson come to the party??

    When will we set attacking fielders??

    When will sir Ian stop going on bout line & length when we all know he could,nt do it all the time

    When will we all be able to understand Mikey(holding)

    When will don bradmans stats be rubbed out( he played in a different era ....no hawkeye...no bowlers...no helmet...no review)

    When will india use the review system?

    Why play with 2 different makes of ball

    Should,nt the stats show where, when, & with what equipment was used ??

    EDIT

    How can a team win by runs when they batted last?? Duckworth/Lewis method, joke aint it lol

    Bresnan should have appealed the decision.Its better to be given out by 2 umpires when you don't hit it.

    If India are watching this series they have good reason not to  use the DRS.But then again Force India use it in F1.

    This commentary team would have to be the funniest in ages.Shane Warne loves Mickey Atherton.

    Boring england again,they get bogged down in their batting, hit the f***er for four now & again

    They gotta be the most boring test team in history, its like watching robots....whether bowling or batting, no attacking fields, no attacking batsmen, play to the "plan".

    Australia for me shudda won 2 of the series, england escaped last time for sure, & they were quoted as being the worst auzzy side ever to play, lol , this england side is on its way out & i hope they get thrashed down under

    I think the rain will win anyway. Perhaps they should make these 4 day games with an extra one only if there have been delays. But what do I know?
