There is one thing that has annoyed me with this whole series......

The grounds have got Lights....  and still they go off due to Bad Light.

Not sure about this... but in Australia....   if they lost time over the days they start the match early or finish later to make up the overs.

Not sounding like a bad loser....     The better team has won....   but when it comes to stalling for time the English Cricket has it down pat.....lol

It's a disgraceful performance by the Aussies I think.

I'm enjoying our time is the sun, I well remember when the boot was on the other foot. Indeed I think I've invented several new cuss words especially for Shane Warne! (Brilliant cricketer though).

Oh yes.....    Don't get me wrong at my comment, even though I think it was true....lol

Lets put it this way....   From '89 to the early 2000's....  the Aussie team was unbeatable...   and it was just great to see something like that in my lifetime....lol

We built our game from the old West Indies teams...  Late 70's to 80's....   they were fantastic to watch back then and was the mold for our teams..

As I always hear about the Bradman test squads....   I will be telling my grandkids about our 1990-2000 teams :)

Now saying that...... Ashes does bring the best out of everybody....    the up coming series Downunder is  going to be a beauty ....lol

I do hope so.  The domination of Australian Test Cricket was huge back then.  England in '99 were arguably the worst test team in the world. Australia had a truly great side and that's hard to follow up with.  England turned things around huge being the best team in the World in '11.

I think this series has shown England are not as good as they thought and Australia, not getting whooped like many thought they might, are not as bad as many thought. Hopefully Australia can take some heart from the good points of the series for them.

The Ashes should be special.  I hope the down under series is a close contest.

Wow, what a difference a few months can make. 5 Zip,  pretty  shoddy from the English batsmen.

As for the Aussies, bowling apart,  they will continue to struggle making enough runs, and SA will punish them in the upcoming series.

Summed up nicely Jim and was the beginning of the demise of once (albeit brief) a great team. Impressed with Stokes and Broad and Anderson are still class bowlers, but looks like a major overhaul required, something Aussie have been going through for a few years.

Well played Aussie of course.  I think the opposition offered by England was way below what they are capable of, and they made Australia look way better than they are.  England's bowling was below it's best, but the senior batsmen never turned up and the tail that used to wag - well ?

Against really good teams both the bowling and batting of Australia will be tested much more than England did. For Australia to carry on improving and do it against SA.

Yes England need to return and rebuild big time.  The Ashes have been away for a good time, and for now Australia can rightly celebrate the high that sport offers.
