If there is an advantage that some are able to get, then  we all need the same advantage. (although it should not be available at all).

Well, you have better equipment than I used when I qualed at CCC a few years back...I was using Level 59 G10 Irons, similar level 59-ish Ping driver and 3 wood, along with 3 level 40-ish Ping wedges...I also qualed with the Tour SD ball.

There is no "program" available to help you qual, practice and learning the game is the best "program" to run.

Hopefully someday you'll be shooting some sub 30's and sub 60's and look back at this post and realize you found the "program".

    Best of luck to you.

A Tour Pro is not really meant to try to qualify for the VUSO any more than an average weekend golfer is meant to qualify for the USO. Many actual PGA tour pros failed to qualify.

In this game, Legends are about equivalent to PGA tour pros, despite the name; I've played this game for two years and win Legend tournaments with some regularity, yet I still have so little chance of qualifying that it's not worth the ball usage to try again. I'll still try, though.

After seeing the greens in person this week. There are some holes that play WAY tougher in real life than in this game. The greens are much tougher. You cannot miss your approaches to certain points of the green or you are in trouble. In this golf game there is no where you can put it that still doesn't allow you to save par. So don't go on and call us good players cheats. You can thank wgt for that

I haven't called anyone cheats. It is absolutely ridiculous that anyone (as you call yourself good player), can shoot 53 on such a course. What do you mean thank wgt for your ridiculous score.

Not to speak for AB, but what I think he means is that there's no way a golf computer game can duplicate the experience of playing real golf.  So just take this game for what it is and enjoy it for what it is.

Relax and enjoy the learning experience and the terrific views of some great courses.

WGT is between a rock and a hard place here. They could easily make the course so hard you could barely break par but what would that do to the players that couldn't break 80 then? Would you stick around a game that on the surface appears relatively simple if you had to work your rear off just to get to 80? or 90? I suspect not many would.

IMO, the spread here pretty much reflects RL when you get past the actual numbers.  :-)

Did I read somewhere that they were going to make this course available to CCs after the US Open?

True PT _ that's what was conveyed to our cappy. I am hosting a "US Open _ Pro-Am" in our club, and we voted to wait for our scoring rounds until P2 is available to our club tourneys.

    I hope it is soon.

have you tried the qualifier yet, the grees are fliping brutal and the pin placements all on mounds.  and the wind can be acounted for but it is howling.

number 4 par4 at 570 yards is ridiculous, even for the highest levels.

Well it looks like this course has got me beaten and for the first time in 4 years I won't be qualifying. Given that it's a 4 round tournament this year I have to say I'll be gutted not to take part in it.

I just cannot put 2 good 9s together on the course. I've been -8 after 8 holes and still missed a 57 by 2 shots. The only way I can see myself recording a qualifying score is if they let me play the first 3 holes six times. There's just too much thought involved round this course and given that I'm hard of thinking, it's not producing the desired result.

It's safe to say my "happy place" isn't Pinehurst No.2  :(
