Just played it...lonnnnngggggg, the front 9 is a b!tch, back 9 is long but fairly easy really...
fairways are wide, easy to hit all of them, miss it and your probably in the sand which is everywhere...pine trees down the right side came into play 3 times due to the crosswind but high trajectory nike driver went over them easily...
played into or had a crosswind on EVERY hole...
front 9 pins are set right on edge of a slope or close to it...miss on wrong side of pin and your off the green...stay on the green anywhere near the pin gives you a easy straight putt according to dots, however I missed a 6ft'er, four 4 to 5ft'ers, and a 3 ft'er for birds, all straight in...(better ram them home when you get close)...very little break on longer putts and not near as fast or treacherous as Merion or Oakmont IMO...a miss usually leaves you a tap in...
back has a couple on the edge too but areas to miss the shot...I played the speed just like I do at most of the courses, not all that fast...
the long par 5 on the front is deceiving, if you try to run a 3 wood up the mouth it is sloped to the left sand trap...
Like I said before, if your anywhere close to the pin it looks like a easy putt, but don't finesse it, I missed everyone because they went off the hole, not lip outs, completely missed the hole, even a 3 ft putt with no moving dots what so ever LOL...
Did anyone else have those bad camera angles on putts like Kiwiah, I had 3 that were pretty bad...
they must have photographed this course after a hack tournament or a windstorm, sand everywhere around all the traps, fairways actually look cr@ppy but the tees are great, i like the sign being right there...
