    Cleworthy:
You are rewarded for good shots and punished for poor ones - the way a great course should be.

Another thing it shares with other great courses is that it draws on the natural features and strengths of the site and landscape as it is. It doesn't seem artificial, but just carved out of what was there. The Pineywoods South is not perhaps the most scenic landscape, but Donald Ross made the best of it.

It is, too me, what a golf course should be; true to par. No tricks, no free riding, no done deals. Par is earned fairly. Best of all, it smells like Ross, looks like Ross and plays like Mr. Ross.

    CerinoDevoti:

Now that the course is open for the qualifier, anyone know how to trick the system to allow us to play it in practice mode, Uneven lies and Single play? I tried the change the game mode thing but can't figure out why it won't work.

I see it can be played in UEL in multi-player but I want to just practice it alone for now. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    * Bump*

Still wondering if anyone has figured out how to play the course in practice mode, single player, with the option of UEL as well? Thanks

Haven't had time yet CD - I'm still trying to figure out why you would want to play uneven lies :)

i figured out how to play it on single play uneven and even

    go to virtual us open
    click create group
    click strokeplay
    change to practice
change course to random - after the first click it goes back to pinhurst so do it again and it will stay at random
    click change game mode
    click strokeplay
now you can set up the course for uneven practice rounds etc

its a great course on uneven lies

It's the worst looking course in WGT, imo. Itsn't so difficult. At firt sight, I don't like it at all. Anyway, a new challenge is always welcome! Bye

66 first try on this course with championship greens for the virtual open. Not that tough in my opinion but love that we have a new course. Who's shooting 49?

Just an FYI. I've played around a bit in practice(thanks again Marty) and checked out Heavy Winds. So far the highest wind speed I've seen is 21 mph and it was a cross wind. Highest mph into me has been 19 and downwind has been 18mph.
