  Was a game played in a lovely atmosphere,Only missed putts seperated the teams,Overhall play was very good,

  Here's the card for the first 6 holes of the match between paulmcm & cyl6 v hollymax &jimbean346  (cyl6 score is missing as he had to dash off)

  Score is currently 1up to hollymax and jimbean

  Great match - jimbean holed his 2nd shot on the 2nd hole at St Andrews, unbeliveable shot from around 170y with the pin in the harder position  - it rolled up the slope off the green to the left of the pin and then came back down and went in!

  Thanks for the write up Paul. Some great play from all four players through the six holes that we've played. Phil nearly holed out on 1 and Clarence nearly did on 4; you holed a beauty on 6 from distance as did Phil on 4. I won't say anything more about the 2nd - a real one off that'll never be seen again ;-)

  I'm just replying so that I get e-mails from this thread... looking forward to our first match, that is supposed to get underway in about 3hours, if my calculations are correct... :)

  Bristow lost connection on 3rd but Fortesque and myself made our birdies so we resume  myself and Dan 1 up playing 4th

  And here's the rest of the card - ignore the first 3 holes after the earlier disconnection. We halved everything from 4-9 including Priestess and Bristowpegs both sinking eagles on the last.

  There were me and Dan with cert birdies on 9 ,,1up  thinking its all over and Bristow  sinks a 60 footer for eagle,I hit a real nice drive 18 wind behind to 10 feet and had to hole it,,pheww,,Cant take your eyes off these players for a second! pffft,,Great game with some solid crunch putting by Shane (fortesque) and of course Bristows Eagle,

  Here's the card for the final 3 holes for our match - Jimbean and hollymax win 1up. We agreed to play 10-12 instead of 1-3 again

  James and Clarence traded birdies while me and Phil caddied!And the score remained at 1up

  Clarence holed a great 24ft putt on 11 for birdie and Jim, not to be outdone holed from 15ft, but not before the ball did a lap of honour round the cup.

  Thanks to Paul and Clarence for a really entertaining and high quality affair. The barrage I received before my last putt had me in stitches :-)

  TBH -8 thru 9 is one of my best (combined) rounds from the back tees but as the scores show everyone played their part in making the match-up incredibly competitive. Great work Phil; you kept us in it at the beginning with some beautiful iron play.

  One more game to go and we're hoping to have that played on Monday afternoon.
