I often have randome winds, random from right in the face, random from left in teh face en random straight in the face.

But now and again I get a tailwind on holes where I cant use them

I think the winds are where WGT can really jack your shots. Like going where you aimed it with a 20mph side wind even when  you hit the ding or how bout the an 8mph tail wind that carrys the ball 10 yards past the pin on a pitch to a flat green with BS. They can make the winds so unpredictable you don't know how to play them.

Speaking of back spin, am I seeing less spin on my shots or am I having a tin hat moment??

I'm not comparing apples to apples, all im fkkn saying is that LUCK CAN ALSO PLAY A FACTOR IN REAL LIFE GOLF!

    Xanax is your friend.

lol. imo the biggest luck factor in rg's aren't random winds anyway. It's the 49 guys you get to play with. For instance, Mr Xanax Newlegend can shoot 60 in 100 c StA rg and win while the next day he'll barely make it to the top 10 with the same score bc he chose the wrong time to sign up and faces 10 champs whose real avg is under 58. The only rg's where this factor is eliminated are the high-stakes rg's where my friend Xanax gets 49 champs, doh. All he needs in this situation is 18x headwind to increase the "realism". Especially as it's probably the first and last time he signed up and thus there's no chance to "even out".

This has probably been mentioned before, but all (good) golf courses are designed with the prevailing wind in mind. This is especially true on links courses... that's why they have 290 yard par 4s and 490 yard par 4s... The short ones are supposed play into the wind and the long ones downwind. It become pretty silly when you're driving through the green with a 3 wood tee shot on one and can't reach the other with a 3 wood second from the fairway.

Why have any winds at all? In real life , the winds dont always blow. S o how about a no wind setting. A perfectly calm  no wind to play for both tournament and practice play. I for one am getting tired of always having to play in hurricane wind settings.YOURS TRULY THE MAD GOLFER

    Little bump.

What happened to the OP's poll? When I found it, it was completely trashed.
