FamousBeef: Sending tedious bug reports is tedious
And without them, wgt can't get things fixed as easily & quickly, so the legitimate gripes continue. I'm doing nothing wrong. It's those (including you apparently) who simply gripe & do nothing that wgt asks them to help them correct these issues that are doing wrong.
And since the last place I'd look for other ways to be helpful is you, why don't you enlighten me Beefster?
Normal online games with "thousands or millions" of players don't stay in beta for 5 years charging them money to make them miserable with glitchy, not ready for prime time features.
They run a "test or beta" server, parallel to the current non-beta game. That's where they put in changes to test and beta. There are players who ENJOY testing changes out and work feverishly (for free) to find exploits and bugs, which they take great pride in finding and reporting. Such games even have a dedicated sub forum to discuss such changes.
Then when a feature is rolled out it actually works, thus sparing the larger community from undue burden and hassle.
As far as gaming communities go, WGT's general population is one of , if not the most technically inept that I have ever seen in 20+ years of online gaming. I mean, this game is played in a web browser!
People don't pay money to to have game crashes or disconnect just to take screen shots and fill out "bug reports" . They expect it to work. Is that too much to ask?
I could point you to a dictionary for the definition of "help" yet I won't. Or you can show me where helping is defined as blaming the reporter of a problem for the problem.
Also players make new threads on the same subject because they want to be heard by the powers that be. They don't want get lost in 100 reply thread where the same non-staff is telling 50 people to fill bug reports or get called stupid because they had a buggy feature thrust upon them.
Maybe if the actual Staff (keyword) made an official thread and then actually replied to the posters, there wouldn't be so many "stupid crybabies" making redundant threads.
Calling posters who are reporting problems "daft" is NOT helping, in any way shape or form.
This would free up time for self appointed "volunteer helper forum police" to find things they lost, such as the definition of words they misunderstand.
