Every quarterly tour sees a new Double Elimination Matchplay competition too.

See HERE for the current state of play.

    bubbsboy:

We at Southern England Links have a lot of top class events and are a level 18 club, a lot of work goes into running the club and we are forever adapting to change and moving the club forward. We have an end product to all comps that are played.

The club has a diverse mix of nationalities, so do not let our club name fool you. In fact we pride ourselves on the various countries represented by our members.

Register on website, click forum, and top right is register, once accepted then WGT invite follows asap.

As per above, only 62 of our 130 members are actually from GB and Ireland.

Alternate shots are arranged every day and evening on our live shoutbox.

When us Brits are sleeping , the ROTW are playing, so always someone on almost 24 hours of the day.

Why not come and join in the fun.

    Cheers

    Sponsorship.

Members have donated over 100 sleeves in prize money and over 10, 000 credits up to now and we still have plenty left in the SEL "Bank"......no, not the WGT one which we await, but our own ;-)

Myself and a Director oversee the spreadsheet, adding sponsorships and deciding events that are to be sponsored.

Almost every event, we award the winner, runner up, top TL, top L, and top TM or below. Thus making sure all tiers can win prizes.

Another Director also runs a small credit league,  each week he runs two 9 hole comps and an 18 hole comp, Points are awarded for finishing positions and twice per month an event winner again receives a sleeve of balls. So approx 30 sleeves have been awarded there also.

Many posts on here to help you decide, i dont just "bump", but prefer to give you as much info as you need.

I will add, we DO NOT use red tees, and we use various winds and green speeds in all our comps

    Cheers

    Bubbs

Bumping this as our very generous members have now donated far more than appears in the above thread.

We still continue with awarding prizes in all our forum led events and we also still award prizes in our large competitions to...

Winner, Runner UP, Top Champ, Top TL, Top L, Top TM/M and top TP and below.

I keep a spreadsheet which we class as the SEL "bank", and pledges are held in there until they are used in a Tournament.

It works really well, and even if WGT eventually got their "bank" up and running, then i feel we would just stick to ours anyway.

So if you want to come and join our highly active and friendly club, then contact me please.

If you are sick of joining clubs where very few members play, then look no further than our club, as we buck that trend.

Activity is fantastic, thats because tournaments are very well thought out and our website forum is always buzzing with activity.

Here i will show you, not just say it. I would never like others brag about activity, then you are let down when you join.

Here.......league game where 93 have posted a score, with still our busy last day to go.

Here......Again, as i type this, 84 have posted a score.

Again.....This time, this was part of our Ryder Cup.........77 posted a score.

No club will match this, if they do then i aint seen it yet. And believe me i have looked

As well as club comps, we have a fantastic Inter CC team, always competing with some other top clubs on WGT..........But we are looking for more keen and eager members.

Keen and eager is important, fitting in is easy here............if you try ;-)

Most details are on page 1 of this thread, but many more bumps also explain in depth what goes on here.

Request to join and i will send you our website details, or simply go to the first thread on here, as the details are there.

Another League Season draws to a close at SEL.  These seasons are run over 3 weeks with a 1 week break inbetween.  There are 22 players in each division who have 7x9 hole fixtures each week to play.  There are 4 divisions with a feeder league into those for newbies.

The Final Tables can be viewed HERE, and the fixtures HERE

It's a great competition which everyone seems to enjoy.  One of many at SEL.

Good participation again too with a nice range of leaderboard toppers.

We also have The SEL Lottery.  Everyone who is a member on the 1st of each month gets put in a random draw.  The first few names out each win a sleeve of their choice.
